Continuous water quality monitoring
Multiparameter measurement, alarms, equipment automation and remote monitoring for aquaculture, research and public aquariums.
Monitoring and alarms
The alarm logic filters out false alerts without delaying the reporting of critical situations.

Two threshold levels
One threshold to anticipate, one threshold to act, set for each tank from values suggested for each species.

Reset hysteresis
A measurement fluctuating around a threshold does not trigger repeated alarms.

Parameter-specific time delay
Immediate triggering for dissolved oxygen, longer confirmation for slowly changing parameters.

Self-monitoring
A faulty probe, a loss of communication or an offline field unit is reported as an alarm.
Alarm example
A drop in dissolved oxygen in a tank during the night. Simultaneous alarms are grouped, and repeat notifications stop once the alarm is acknowledged.
- 02:14Measurements within rangeDissolved oxygen 7.8 mg/L
- 02:19Warning threshold crossed6.0 mg/L
- 02:22Critical threshold crossed, alarm confirmed5.0 mg/L, immediate triggering for oxygen
- 02:22Text message and email received by on-call staff
- 02:24Alarm acknowledged, intervention under way
- 02:31Back to normalafter the reset margin
Equipment automation
Measurements are not only used to raise alerts. Rules defined for each tank control your equipment according to the values recorded.
- ActiveIf dissolved oxygen falls below 5.0 mg/LThe oxygenation valve opens
- ActiveIf dissolved oxygen rises above 6.5 mg/LThe valve closes
- ActiveIf the tank level is lowThe top-up pump starts, and stops at normal level
Opening and closing valves, starting and stopping pumps, oxygenation, water exchange:
each rule is configured for each tank, according to the equipment on site.
Your installation
Probes, field units and platform are sized for your site, from a single tank to a multi-site operation.

From a single tank to a multi-site operation
A single platform for all sites, whatever the number of field units installed.
Operation
Overview of alarms across all sites, management of users and access rights.
Site
Status of the tanks, field units and probes on each site.
Tank
Real-time measurements, history and thresholds for each parameter.
On-site equipment
- Industrial probesDissolved oxygen, temperature, pH, redox (ORP), conductivity and salinity, turbidity and suspended solids, ammonium, nitrates, chlorine, chlorophyll and algae, level. Service life of 4 to 5 years.
- MaintenanceAnnual replacement of the sensing element, spare parts available.
- Field unitsAssembled in Trégueux, France, sized to the number of probes, with a local display readable beside the tanks, even without a connection.
Platform
- Multi-device accessComputer, tablet and smartphone.
- Hosting in FranceEncrypted data, hosted in Gravelines (northern France) and backed up daily.
- Data isolationEach customer has access to their own installations only.
- On-call dutyScheduling of the people to notify, time slots and repeat notifications.
Applications
Aquaculture Solutions designs, manufactures and installs water treatment systems for aquaculture farms, research laboratories and public aquariums. AlcedOS extends this expertise: each installation is designed for the site, installed and configured by our teams, then supported under a maintenance contract. Aquaculture Solutions
Assessment and demonstration
A thirty-minute demonstration is available by video conference on an installation in operation, or at your premises. The assessment of your installation follows four steps.
- 01Technical discussion of the site, the species and your objectives
- 02Sizing of the probes, field units and automation
- 03Layout plan and communication method
- 04Costed proposal
Let's discuss your site
